Authenticity
COUNTERFEIT INVESTIGATION
"How do I protect myself from buying counterfeit devices?" Bogus parts are not always counterfeit (copies); often these parts have been marked and then they failed functional or other testing and destined for the scrap bin. Often parts are reclaimed from scrapped equipment (reclaimed) and are remarked with a current date code, or they are erased and remarked to reflect a faster or newer part. They are even erased and remarked and may not have any functionality. Our equipment and processes can often identify these bogus parts and eliminate the possibility of our customers unknowingly becoming a source of counterfeit parts. Experience and equipment helps us identify most components that may have been fraudulently acquired through reclaim, erased and remarking and we can usually authenticate device. At the very least we can offer technical data and an opinion based on this data and our experience.
We understand that knowledge is the first line of defense in preventing used devices from getting into your inventory, we offer for sale, a traing disc that will aid your incoming inspection and quality groups in detecting fraudulently altered components.
